Who am I? My name is Nick Simpson and
It has taken me 20 years of working in various industries, owning and running my own business, to realize what I am truly good at. That is being passionate about helping others by designing systems to operational problems and inefficiencies.
I have a natural curiosity and enjoy hearing Small Business stories.
I am the furthest person to accept the old adage "This is just the way we do things".
What you can expect from me while working together:
Most business owners are used to "Scorekeeper" consultants. These are the folks who look at your P&L and Balance Sheet, data that is often months old, and tell you what you already know: "Your margins are too thin" or "You’re spending too much on labor."
It’s broad-brushed advice that’s easy to give but notoriously difficult to execute because, so often, it doesn't tell you what the root causes are.
I take a different approach.
Instead of just looking at the books, I look at the operational engine, the data living in your POS, inventory, job sheets, website traffic etc. I don't give "gut-feeling" advice. I provide data driven decisional clarity by finding the objective truth hidden in your daily operations.
But I also know that data doesn’t run a business; people do.
The Data Shows the Path. You Decide the Pace.
I believe that data provides the compass, but your personal goals and personality provide the map. Instead, we use the data to build a system that works for your personality so the "doing" fits the "doer."
Surgical Precision: We move past generics and identify the specifics "Islands of Profit" where your business is actually winning.
Objective Accountability: We use data to measure every move, so you stop guessing and start knowing what works and what doesn't.
Human-Calibrated Solutions: I don't give "textbook" advice. I factor in the emotional and personal side of business ownership. A strategy is only "good" if it’s sustainable for you.
